The hard drive's "Model" is the most important factor in determining your chances. So if you have an external hard drive, you'll need to remove the bare hard drive after disassembling the enclosure. This way you can see the label on the hard drive and find out the exact "Model" number we need. The external hard drive's model number will not help us - it is too generic.
Note: after removing the hard drive from enclosure, do not re-assemble. Keep the enclosure and just drop off the bare hard drive (along with the enclosure's PCB, if there is one).Back to home page
