HTML File Listing

How to open $300 Data Recovery’s file listing:

  1. Extract the ZIP file’s contents
    • Mac: double-click the zip file in your Downloads folder (files will be extracted to a new folder)
    • Windows: double-click the zip file, then click “extract all” and extract the data to a new folder. Or, after opening the zip file, drag-and-drop the files to a new folder (or just into your Downloads folder).
  2. Keep both files in the same folder:
    • [Your Ticket Number]-File-Listing.html
    • data.js
  3. Double-click the HTML file to open it in your browser
  4. The interactive file browser will load automatically

Depending on how we made your file listing, there could be more than one .html file inside the zip folder.

  1. If your device has partition corruption and we recovered “Raw Files” (these files are recovered based on their unique file signature, organized by file types, without original folder structure and filenames), there will be a separate “Raw” file listing included. If we could only recover Raw Files, this will be the only file listing present.
  2. Two .html files: “Good” and “Bad” (we may have separated the good and bad files into their own exclusive file listings)
  3. Several smaller .html files (we may have limited the number of files visible in each file listing if your recovery contains lots of files (e.g., 1,000,000+ files).

We highly recommend using Google Chrome or Firefox to view the file listing. Other browsers may work, but Chrome and Firefox seem to work best.

Once the file listing is opened, click the “HELP” button (top-right corner) to learn more about navigating and searching for your data.
