Shipping Instructions

🚨 You should have received these shipping instructions with our email containing your ticket number. If you didn’t receive this email, you need to whitelist our email address to ensure you receive future messages once your device arrives. 

PACKING INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Label Your Devices
      • Write your full name (as entered on your Mail-In Form) and “BAD” on the bad device(s).
      • Ensure this name matches the name on your Mail-in Form.
    2. Wrap Your Device
      • Wrap your device with at least 3–4 inches of bubble wrap on all sides.
      • Do not skimp on bubble wrap, and do not use Styrofoam packing peanuts.
    3. Box It Up
      • Use a medium or large, sturdy box with enough bubble wrap to prevent movement.
      • Need a box? You can order a free medium-sized box from
        USPS.com.
    4. Transfer Drive (if applicable)
      • If you chose to provide a transfer drive, include it in the same box as your bad device. Write your full name (as entered on your Mail-In Form) and “GOOD” on the transfer drive.
    5. External Hard Drives
      • If your bad drive was in an external enclosure and you’ve removed it, do not reassemble or send the enclosure. Keep it, and send only the bare drive.
      • Please send the enclosure’s PCB, if available. The enclosure’s PCB is the circuit board that connects to the USB cable and power adapter.
    6. Cables and Adapters
      • We do not need any USB cables for either the transfer drive or the bad drive.
      • If your transfer drive requires an AC adapter (i.e., not USB-powered), you must include it. We do not need the AC adapter for your bad drive.
      • If you have a hard drive and performed a “PCB swap,” ensure the original PCB is reattached.

SHIPPING

  • Send your device(s) using any carrier you prefer (we recommend USPS). Tracking is optional but highly recommended.
  • WRITE YOUR TICKET NUMBER ON THE OUTSIDE OF YOUR BOX.

AFTER WE RECEIVE YOUR SHIPMENT

  • After receiving your shipment, we’ll send an email confirming the rate to recover your device. This email will come from helpdesk3@300dollardatarecovery.com or 300ddr@reply.repairshopr.com.
  • Please whitelist @300dollardatarecovery.com and @reply.repairshopr.com in your Junk/Spam filter to ensure you receive it.
  • If you want to provide an additional phone number or email address so we can reach you more easily, reply to this email and let us know.
